Today I was entered for Ozi's Global Madness Event on CND but due to having to do some things IRL I sadly couldn't make it. 11am is quite early for me to be able to get everything done at home but hopefully I will make it next weekend. Anyway, I didn't hunt at all today until this evening and when I got online I did a quick 5 minute warm-up in Dome 20 ready for the Champions League Round 10.
Well, what a night I had! I was really hoping to get some points as there are only 2 rounds left after this one and I'm teetering on the edge of 10th place and it would be nice to finish higher if at all possible. Anyway, I entered Dome 20 and as soon as the event started I started firing away at the nearest mobs and I only went and globalled! I couldn't believe it. I thought this was probably a bad start as early globals for me usually mean a bad run. How wrong was I!
This global actually put me straight up on the Leader Board. Well, I've been there before and then dropped out of the reckoning but I was trying to keep thinking positive tonight. During the event I got a total of 5 globals which is my highest amount in an event yet. As well as the 101 ped Cornoanterion Mature I also got a 99 ped Cornoanterion Guardian, 236 ped Cornoanterion Provider, 60 ped Atrox Guardian and a 149 ped Cornoanterion Mature.
At one point I did drop off the Leader Board and into 4th place but luckily my last 2 globals and a couple of nice loots put me back up there in 3rd which is where I finished the event. I also managed to get 1PK to count towards my final score for the evening which I believe is a total of 10 points.
After the Event 11 of us (Rep, Tekkie, Pink Pussycat, Micky Cross, Force Majure, Moogle, bigdaddy, Slapnuts, Toast, Naomi and myself) teamed up and went hunting Daspletors in Dome 16. This didn't go quite as well as hoped and the loot was pretty terrible but we did manage to get a 191 ped Daspletor Young.
The Dasp hunt was a fun way to end a great night. I wasn't feeling at all well before the start of Champions League as I had a dodgy tummy and felt quite sick but I think the adrenaline soon cured that and I now feel fine and ready for a good nights sleep.
